HOW It all started…

MOCO Express was founded by and is operated by engineers (mechanical and structural).  The three founders have over 45 years combined of commercial, industrial and nuclear power plant engineering experience.  This professional engineering experience has filtered down into the operation of a highly convenient mobile oil change service. 

The origins of MOCO Express stem from a relatively benign conversation between the founders; Matt, Russ and Stu.  The conversation revolved around getting the oil changed in their vehicles and what a hassle it could be.  Whether it was waiting at a dealership, or being up-charged at a brick and mortar lube shop or what to do with the used oil when they changed it themselves.  These were all similar gripes that centered around how inconvenient getting their oil changed was.  Then, the question was posed “is there anyone who can come to us”.  As was quickly determined, the answer was “no one in the greater Pittsburgh area”.

That was the pivotal “eureka” moment that started the brainstorming, which turned into extensive research that eventually became MOCO Express.  As engineers, the founders thrive on solving problems and this was a perfect opportunity.   It was a pleasure to devise a system to provide an extremely convenient service with high quality products to their customers.  As such, they have used their skills to establish an efficient method that allows oil changes to be performed at nearly any location
